Poverty Alleviation Trust Foundation (PAT-Foundation) is a Non-Profit Foundation charged with the issues of African youth empowerment; economic, social, ideological, education, technological, political and development. PAT-Foundation also seeks to correct the dim perception of the African youth that African governments may be the foundation of most of the challenges experienced by the youth in the continent.
PAT-Foundation is the voice crying out for the empowerment of youth in a continent acclaimed to be the most youthful continent in the world.


We investigate and expose the Challenges experienced by the youth all over the African continent;

We lobby Governments, Ministries, Departments, International Organizations, The Academia, Agencies, Traditional Rulers, the Religious Bodies and The Media to ensure the all issues pertaining the youth of Africa are given utmost importance;

By highlighting the huge potentials exhibited by the African youth, which still remains untapped, we mobilize millions of supporters around the continent to campaign for change and to stand for a re-positioning of youth empowerment and development in the African continent;


Ensure greater opportunities for African youth to secure decent work and income over the life-circle, contributing to a virtuous circle of poverty reduction, sustainable development and social inclusion.


Enhance national capacity to develop gender-sensitive strategies for decent work for the youth.

Support the improve and enforcement of rights at work for youth and implement empowerment and skills development programmes to ease the transition of disadvantaged youth to decent work.


Support institutional reforms for an enabling environment conducive to youth entrepreneurship, including access to markets, finance and other resources.

Strengthen mechanisms for promoting youth entrepreneurship, in particular for young women.


African countries to take action towards safe guiding and promoting human right of African youth.


African youth effective inclusive civil engagement at local, national, regional and global level promoted.


African youth participation in inclusive political process and democratic practices supported.

African youth inclusion in decision making and in all levels of development process supported.




To maintain continental and global peace and security through the stabilized economy of African countries;

To develop friendly and constructive relations between the youth of African countries and their governments;

To foster continent-wide cooperation in order to encourage governments of African countries to provide the critical infrastructural facilities that would foster synergy and maximum development of the African youth;

To promote and defend the human rights and fundamental freedom of the Youth in Africa.

To serve as a platform where various Africa countries can coordinate their activities towards the attainment of total empowerment of African youth and the world at large;

To promote exchange visit of African Youths with their youth counterparts across the globe through their various embassies;


To care for, inspire and nurture the ambitions of the African Youth inconjuction with African Governments whilst addressing the needs of the Youth and undertaking to enhance their empowerment and development;


To be the plarform that will ensure sustainable self reliance for Africa Youth;

HRH Alh. (DR) Yahaya Abubakar, the Etsu Nupe, is the Chairman, Coordinating Committee, National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria since 2007 till date. Chancellor, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, Bauchi State. Chancellor, Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, Edo State. Chancellor, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State and Commander of the Federal Republic, CFR.

Dr. Eze Chimuka, PhD

He is an astute international business manager, community visionary leader and a known philantrophist. He is a president of NECON Group of Companies and the managing director of Masters Automobile Industry Limited a subsidiary of Masters Energy Group of Companies.

Journalist, Author and Diplomat. He was Deputy National President NUJ. He also served as Head of Corporate Affairs NTA Headquarters. He was also Information Attachè at the Nigeria High Commission London. Nasir was a founding member of the Presidential Committee on Financial Crimes which metamorphosed into the EFCC.

Ambassador Joseph Ubaka Ayalogu

He is currently the Executive Director, Corporate Relations, Eta-Zuma Group West Africa Limited, a Nigerian corporate organization with business interests in mining, power generation and steel production.

Ambassador Ayalogu was a Career Foreign Service Officer for 32 years in the Nigerian foreign service up till his retirement in 2006.

Aisha Aliyu is a detribalized Nigerian, an epitome of humanity and ardent believer in the preservation of the unity of the Nigerian nation through the application of the principles of equity, fairness and social justice.

Ambassador Bukun-Olu Onemola
Executive Director

He joined the Nigerian Foreign Service in 1980. He brings with him over 35 years of experience working with the Ministry, including serving as Under Secretary Admin & Finance, as well as Under Secretary Economic & Consular.

Ambassador Onemola has also held many positions in the various multilateral missions that he has served in abroad, including as the Deputy Permanent Representative of Nigeria to the United Nations (UN), New York.

HRM Olori Wuraola-Zynab Otiti Ogunwusi
Executive Director

Born in Benin Nigeria, Her Majesty Olori (Queen) Wuraola-Zynab Otiti Ogunwusi attended The European School of Economics. She later went on to establish her career as a real estate developer and Investor- involved in developments both in the Middle East and Africa.

On March 12, 2016, Wuraola-Zynab Otiti Ogunwusi was granted the title, Yeyeluwa when she wedded His Imperial Majesty, Adeyeye Ogunwusi, The Ooni of Ile Ife Kingdom in Nigeria. The Royal Dynasty of Ile Ife, one of Africa’s most ancient dynasties, is over eight centuries old. Today, this dynasty is ruled by The Ooni, King Adeyeye Ogunwusi. who was crowned in December 2015..
